“Letters” features an efficient piecing method that makes 4 blocks at a time–meaning it’s fast to piece. No matter how busy you are or how sporadic your creative time may be, you can make the “Letters” Quilt!

This pattern is a downloadable PDF digital file. It can be printed at home if you like. It is clickable--underlined page references and websites are linked so you can click and easily go straight to the right place.

See table for fabric requirements and suggestions. Directional fabrics should be used with caution. The piecing method causes rotation of the fabrics in some of the blocks.

Did you ever write and send actual handwritten letters? You know, like on paper, with envelopes and stamps?? When I was young, I wrote to my grandma who only lived two houses away and a pen pal who lived across the world in Australia!

I wrote the “Letters” Quilt Pattern as an homage to my grandma who exchanged letters with me my entire life and who taught me to quilt. If you are nostalgic for snail mail or have a stash of collected letters in your closet, this quilt pattern was written for you!
