Seamwork Sew Along 2025

One of my goals for 2025 is to sew more garments for myself. I sew dresses and shirts for my daughter here and there, but projects for me have been rare.

I'm really excited to be working with Seamwork to create this sew along, and they're even offering some sweet prizes! Let me tell you what my plans are, and then I'll tell you how you can WIN a free year-long unlimited Seamwork membership!

Sign up here for the email-based sew along. Sign up anytime. If you've missed anything, I'll send you links to past newsletters if you want to catch up.

What is Seamwork?

Let's talk about Seamwork first. If you haven't heard of it, it's a clothing pattern company, but it's also so much more than that! They have courses, including the Design Your Wardrobe class that we'll talk more about in a sec, sew alongs, and a community of over 20,000 sewists sharing their makes, answering your questions, and just generally being new sewing besties!

You can buy most of their patterns individually, or there are 2 levels of membership: Lite (2 pattern downloads a month) and Unlimited. Membership comes with all their courses, the community, and even discounts at indie fabric stores!

Browse their library of over 250 patterns.

Let's Set Some Goals

My goal for the year and for this sew along is to take Seamwork's “Design Your Wardrobe” class in February, and then sew one garment a month to finish up the year with 10 new garments just for me!

Sidebar: the Design Your Wardrobe class involves putting together a physical notebook of your ideas and plans for your sewing. I found all the cutest binders and dividers and pens and pouches and everything you'll need for that. Shop them HERE.

You are welcome to set your own goals in this sew along. Does 11 sound ridiculously high or embarrassingly low? You can decide what fits best for you!

You can make the exact patterns I make, or not! Seamwork has a library of over 250 patterns, so you do you!

I'll be more like an accountability and inspiration partner for this sew along. There's tons of flexibility!

How About Some Prizes?

I thought of a fun way to make a game of this sew along by making a Bingo card! Now, you may have heard of my 2025 Quilt Bingo card, and it even has a box that says “Sign up for my Seamwork sew along." But THIS IS A SEPARATE BINGO CARD I'm talking about with Seamwork. You can do one. You can do both. You decide! They have similar rules, but they are very much separate.

With the Seamwork Bingo card, you have the entire year to stitch up a bingo's worth of projects (5 across, up and down, or diagonal), submit your card with photos of your makes by the end of 2025, and you'll be entered to win one of 3 year long unlimited memberships from Seamwork!

You may (probably) want to start a membership now, in order to start sewing and take courses. Don't worry--if you join now and you become one of the winners, your prize will add a year to your membership if you already have one. So don't hold back on joining and enjoying the benefits during the sew along for the year.

Want to play completely free? You can opt to sew one of Seamwork's free patterns 5 times for one bingo entry. You can choose any combination of free patterns, even using a pattern more than once, but you must make 5 separate projects for one bingo entry. But…I think you're going to love their library of patterns, and I'm sure you'll be making lots and lots of them!

Detailed instructions for completing the bingo cards and entering to win are on the bingo card file which you can get by clicking HERE

To Sum It Up:

What to expect this year: I'll be taking the Design Your Wardrobe class starting February 3rd. Part of the course involves putting together a physical notebook of your wardrobe plans. I'll be sharing mine with you as I go along by email and also in my Instagram stories. Shop cute binder supplies HERE.

In March, I'll be sewing up my first garment. I still haven't decided what I'm making first (that's what the Design Your Wardrobe class is for!). I'm hoping to make more of a plan for the year as I take the design course. I'll let you know what I'm thinking, and I'd love to hear what your plans are, too!

Sew up enough projects for a bingo (or several!) and enter to win a full year unlimited membership to Seamwork!

When you share your makes on social, be sure to tag @sewworthymama and @seamwork so that we can see and share and cheer you on!
