This is me in front of my first Letters Quilt -- the first quilt pattern I designed!

Have you ever wanted to design quilt patterns yourself? Don't know how to get started?

Let me tell you how I learned and how you can, too!

Wanting a Creative Outlet During Times of Change

In 2021, my life had changed drastically. I had a baby just before COVID started, and in 2020 I decided to resign from teaching.

I wanted to start a quilty business of my own. I wanted something I could do from home in the margins of motherhood. Something creative. On my own terms.

I had recently discovered quilt patterns…as opposed to just sewing together basic shapes and hoping for the best (although that's a great way to sew)!

Finding the Quilt Pattern Writing Course

And then I came across Elizabeth Chappell's Quilt Pattern Writing Course. You have probably seen some of her quilts or even follow her on Instagram. I was on her waiting list for a bit, and then when the class opened, I almost didn't sign up.

I hemmed and hawed over the cost of it until the very last few hours before sign ups closed. I emailed Elizabeth several times, asking her my questions. I was getting ready to sell our house and move, and I was so nervous I wouldn't have enough time to devote to the class.

But in the last hours, I decided to dive in. I just went for it. I am so glad I signed up. I launched Sew Worthy Mama in July of 2022 and I have enjoyed slowly growing it ever since.

Since Taking the Quilt Pattern Writing Course

This little quilt pattern writing business has opened so many doors and opportunities to me!

You Can, Too!

If you are interested in learning how to write quilt patterns, too, I cannot recommend the Quilt Pattern Writing Course enough. It's even grown since I took it! Enrollment is open for this week only and the course begins on September 21st, 2024. The course only happens once a year!

You can even join a small-group as an add-on, and guess what?!…I'm leading a small group this year! I can't guarantee you'll be in my group…but what I can guarantee is that you'll get my EXCLUSIVE BONUS!

If you sign up for the class through my link, you'll get a 1 hour group coaching session with ME.  It'll be with everyone who signs up through my link, so you'll also get another chance to connect with fellow classmates plus me. This will happen a few weeks after the course is over to give you time to at least start your first design and gather any questions that come up.
